Meet Main Street Sound's Director
Terry Adamson has been involved with music since the age of 14 and at the age of 18 became percussion instructor and subsequently an Assistant Bandmaster and then the Bandmaster of one of the most successful Marching Bands in the country.
He went on to join his first Barbershop chorus, ‘Chordbusters Incorporated’ in Bradford 1989, with the late Steve Hall as Chorus Director. Within 6 months Terry was working with the presentation team and singing in a quartet. In 1993 he left ‘Chordbusters’ to fulfil his dream to help create a far more ambitious chorus.
As a result of this he became a founder member of the ‘Spirit of Harmony’ chorus, of which he had the honour of directing for its first 5 years. He relinquished his position due to work commitments but carried on as Assistant Chorus Director, lead section leader and presentation coach until December 2008, by which time ‘Spirit of Harmony’ had achieved 2 bronze medals in the national championships of British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS).
